I hope you are doing well. We are getting ready for the BIG storm that I guess is going to hit most of the U.S. in the next couple of days. I hope you are safe and warm where you are.
You hear about different holiday traditions and celebrations and you don’t give it much thought, you just enjoy the festivities. I’ve started Googling them to see what there origin is. Some of them I just don’t get, and others are totally worth celebrating. Most have just become a reason to buy a card or have a party.
Today is ‘Fat Tuesday’ part of the Mardi Gras celebration. The ‘King Cake’, and some of the other traditional food sounds delicious!
I’ve never been to Mardi Gras but know a few people who went when they were much younger. Probably where the saying “What happens at (fill in your event) stays there”. I don’t think they could get away with some of their antics today!?
