The National Women’s History Alliance, which spearheaded the movement in 1980 for March being declared National Women’s History Month, has announced the women’s history theme for 2023, “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
We all have women in our lives that have help directly, or indirectly, to shape who we are today.
Not all of them got notoriety or public appreciation for their accomplishments.
Some where our mothers and grandmothers. Some were a special teacher who took the time to make a lasting impression on us. Many are women from history that we only got to read about.
Some stories are big and grand, but some are just a person among many that did some wonderful things to help others.
Let’s take some time to remember those special women, and thank them for helping us to be who we are today.
